Transforming Our Global Health Workforce to Achieve Health Equity, One Conversation at a Time!

"In Africa there is a concept known as "ubuntu"- the profound sense that we are human only through the humanity of others; that if we are to accomplish anything in this world it will in equal measure be due to the work and achievement of others."

uBuntuSpeaks, LLC recognizes the need for a strong and competent global health workforce in order to effectively resolve the world’s overwhelming health concerns.  These concerns are too often exacerbated by the health disparities and inequalities that exist in our global healthcare systems.

The term: UBUNTU is a South African philosophy of human interconnectedness, collaboration, teamwork, respect and love for one another.  It reflects the need to reshape the organizational foundation of our health systems, in order to improve health professionals’ personal and professional development.

uBuntuSpeaks, LLC’s overarching goal is to encourage and provide evidence based sustainable strategies and applicable knowledge.  The acquired strategic skills enable the possibility of forward thinking, innovative and socially responsible global communities.  These communities encompass health government agencies, nonprofit organizations, medical and public health learning institutions.  Collectively they can effectively use comprehensive, innovative and cultural lenses to address the shortage of a diverse, skilled, culturally sensitive and competent global health workforce.
